Santiago de Querétaro is growing rapidly, and with this growth comes a pressing need for housing close to points of interest within the city. Expanding the urban fabric without losing livability requires density, mixed uses, and thoughtful integration of public and private spaces. This project responds to that challenge by combining residential, commercial, and office functions in a single cohesive block, while addressing the practical need for parking and urban connectivity.
The project envisions a liveable block that seamlessly integrates apartments, restaurants, shops, and offices, all designed to offer views and connectivity across the urban landscape. By layering different uses vertically and horizontally, the block becomes a microcosm of city life, fostering interaction, convenience, and diversity within its boundaries.
At the heart of the block lies a central dynamic park, a flexible space that can shift between public and semi-private use depending on the needs of the moment. This central space becomes the social core of the development, where movement, gathering, and relaxation coexist. Surrounding buildings frame the park while maintaining permeability and visual connections, creating an urban experience that balances enclosure with openness.
The ground floor hosts restaurants, shops, and offices, activating the street and encouraging public interaction.
Above in the upper floors, 120 apartments were designed with punctual installations, allowing layouts to adapt flexibly to residential or office needs. The top of one building is fully dedicated to offices, while the remaining buildings prioritize apartments with versatile interiors.
A three-level underground parking garage provides ample parking for residents, office workers, and visitors, ensuring functionality without compromising the quality of shared public and private spaces.
The overall design emphasizes adaptability, density, and livability, transforming a single block into a vibrant urban ecosystem that balances private comfort with public life.
